The Ford Explorer, The First SUV

Ford’s Explorer can trace its lineage back to the first Bronco that first put rubber to road during the 1966 model year. The Ford Explorer has 3 customizable options that include XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited. The XLT has power window and door locks, air conditioning, and sixteen-inch aluminum wheels. You can also upgrade to the Sport Package with additional options such as step-up bars and twenty-inch rims. The next trim package is the Eddie Bauer which features seventeen-inch alloy wheels, power driver seat, two-tone paint, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Ford’s sync package and satellite radio. To go all out you will want to purchase the Explorer Limited which comes with rear parking sensors, power front passenger seat, monochromatic paint, 18” alloy wheels, power adjustable pedals, driver memory functions,and an upgraded audio system with in-dash CD changer and steering wheel mounted controls. If that’s not enough amenities for you, you may want to put a proposal in to NASA for the space shuttle .
The 2010 Ford Explorer has a very smooth ride courtesy of the independent Rear Suspension. The wheels stay planted when traveling on rough roadways. This is the ultimate family SUV, you can transport your cargo around town with more than enough room for all the kids baseball equipment. In normal, day-to-day use, the Explorer still shines brilliantly for the very same reasons it has in the past: The view from the driver’s seat is elevated, steering and braking are effortless. Same goes for the amenities, but the capabilities, both on- and off-road are without a doubt advanced compared to the rest of its class. Unlike some Johnny-come-lately cute-utes, the Explorer is an SUV for all seasons and conditions.
