carpet stain from kick drum pedal?
An aluminum kick drum pedal has rubbed a black stain into my light beige rug. This is an expensive rug and I desperately want to get the stain out. Any suggestions? I tried spic and span but it only spread it, it’s a little lighter but I’m afraid I may have made my problem worse.
A powder cleaner called “Barkeeper’s Friend” and Oxy-clean (a laundry powder/stain remover, comes in a bucket) usually works well for me. I put it in the water for my steam-vac. If you don’t have one of those it still might work if you scrub and rinse enough. It removed spots left by aluminum rings.
