What is the best collector car you can buy for under 10-15,00 dollars and make money on down the road?
This is mainly for avid car collectors. Looking for a solid original condition or fully restored car/truck that has the potential to increase in value in a few years. Any particular year, make, body style, model, engine sizes, VIN code etc. Also what to look for and look out for when buying one…
10/15K is in no way going to get you a fully restored classic car or truck. A fully restored frame off restoration can easily run into 4/8 times that price, just for the restoration, that doesn’t include the price of the car/truck to restore.
You might be able to find a descent running unrestored car truck for that money.
As for WHAT to buy I’d recommend a vehicle you like, cars/tastes are very individual , look around and shop, hit car shows there are normally always vehicles for sale. Check auto trader, hemming motor news and ebay
Be very cautious to get a vehicle that you can find parts for, some foreign cars ect are very hard to get even the simple parts (plugs/wires ect)
I’d stick to a Common brand ford/chevy
It’s like anything else there are no way to say the car will appreciate in value over the years. the car hobby is not a moneymaking venture remember there is always upkeep and the more you drive/show the car the more likely you will have upkeep / maintenance and repairs.
Also remember classic cars/trucks need collector insurance coverage that can be very expensive.
