Can you you use shimano rotors with Avid BB7 calipers?
I purchased an Avid BB7 disc brakeset, but I had purchased shimano wheels with centerlocks for the disc brakes. Can I use the shimano rotors that came with my wheelset with the Avid BB7 calipers or is there a way to put the Center Lock on the 6 hole Avid Calipers?
Yes you can use this fine. The only thing that wont work is using an XTR calliper on a 6 bolt rotor, XTR requires a centerlock rotor! Your configuration will be fine. I have the same one too. You can only convert a c/l rotor to 6 bolt not the other way around. I presently use my BB7 with Magura Venti disc rotors both c/l and 6 bolt (Ti bolts) , most rotors work fine with most brakes on the market today.
