trek 4500 downhill conversion?
now i know how ridiculous this sounds because its a hardtail but i am in high school and have to scrape by with what i got i have a 2003 trek 4500 alpha downhill with the crappy judy tt forks shimano alivio shifters that blow and avid bbdb its 13 inch frame too so the angle fromt he top tube to the rear is almost straight, like i said dont have the money for a new bike so i want to make do with this as much as hardtails suck at downhill its all i do anyway with it so anything better to help will do
new taller forks,new shifters and a new rear de railer ,should get things turned around for you,try a deore derailer ,shocks that have at least 140 mm of travel and some deore shifters
