How do you egress when there is a bear at the bottom of a ladder that you are standing on?
Going onto the roof is not an option and I’d also like to know whether bears can climb ladders
Bears are very good at climbing ladders but will generally check OSHA weight requirements before climbing as their union contract when eating 15 year olds is very strict.
So, if the ladder is Light Weight and it’s a large brown bear you’re in luck. However, black bears are fairly light, so you might be in trouble there.
However, holding the high ground will give you some advantages. When the bear swipes at you with it’s claws, it will only be holding the ladder with one paw, at that exact moment you need to kick the bear between the eyes. I hope you are wearing solid shoes.
