Durango 3 has been build as an versatile, do-it-all mountain bike, with a range of component spec and pricing that’s a good match for most anyone from casual trail riders to die-hard dirt junkies. So whether you’re in the mood to just go for a ride, or you’re ready to take your pals for a ride, Durango’s should have it all.Durango 3 modern sky blue and white shiny frame comes in three sizes: 17”, 19” and 21”.
Here we go the Jamis Durango 3 for 2011 review. Jamis bikes although well established in states have been away from UK scene for a while, but their back. Last month I’ve reviewed their entry level full carbon racer – see the Jamis Xenith Comp 2011 review, so what gets me always like first with Jamis is the kit you’re getting for your buck And the Durango 3 is not an exception – for £749 you will get super light 6061 triple butted alloy frame, Rock Shox Tora fork, Hayes Ride stoppers and the 3×10 speed Sram X-7 drive-train, pretty amazing! There is not many brands there this year (except Cube and Boardman, to be fair) to give you anywhere near the equipment for at this price-point. The high quality components do reflect on the bikes overall weight – 12.3kg (27.1lbs) – which has fair reflection how does the bike feel under climbing and accelerating. Nimble and with ease
