How to read the meter on stationary bike for distance?
How do I know when I hit 1 mile? What will the meter say? it is going 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4….well you get the picture.
The distance on a stationary bike is meaningless. You want to go buy time and effort. You want to do a easy 10 min warm up ride and then start pedaling at a high cadence 70-90 rpms with just enough resistance to get your breathing elevated and your heart rate up. A heart rate monitor is the best tool to use to keep you in the proper fat burning zone. Start out with 15-20 min sessions and work your way up to 45-60 min. Get a real bike, it’s a lot more fun and you can burn a lot more calories. Stationary bikes are like time machines where the flow of time stops.
Check the manual for your equipment, if you don’t have one most manufacturers have them on line.
