Hi I need to replace the master cylinder and brake booster on my?
1997 silverado 1500 4by4 how do I bleed the system including procedures for the abs i tried bench bleeding the master cylinder the rr,lr,rf,lf over and over and over I also did a Front Brake job on it turned rotors and replaced pads but still the pedal almost goes to the floor please help I NEED THE COMPLETE BLEEDING PROCEDURE include abs start to finish please.help…this thing is killing me.
You must have a loose fitting somewhere that is allowing air into the lines. Is the pedal low and hard or low and squishy? If it is hard but low you have another problem. Is the new master cylinder exactly the same? Maybe the rod is shorter? Did you turn the rotors or drums beyond spec? Turning drums or rotors will give you a lower pedal.
