How much is a cheap Disc Brake kit to change my v brakes to disc?
I have the mounts on it and everything all i need is hubs and the discs so how much?
Good disc brakes are not cheap – period. Would cost about the same as buying a completely new bicycle! Did you think about new wheels? You’ll need disc brake specific wheels for both the front & rear. That’ll be (I’m guesstimating) $250 – $300 right there. Then you still need the brake calipers, rotors & brake lines.
Thought about better V-Brake pads? Good V-Brakes are just as good or better than cheap disc brakes & LIGHTER. Link below.
