What’s the best mt. bike clipless pedal for a beginner?
I think I’m ready (but scared) to go clipless on my mtb. I was told Crank Brothers Eggbeaters are good and easy to get in an out of. Do you have any suggestions? Also, how long will it take for me to get used to the pedals?
Have any suggestions for shoes? I don’t need anything spectacular.. I’ve been thinking about getting the Specialized BG Sport MTB Shoe.

I would also recommend the Crank Brothers eggbeaters. They are really easy to get in and out of, plus they don’t get clogged with mud. Honestly, just about any of the Crank Bros should meet your needs, they all have the same system to get in and out, it is just varying sizes of platforms and materials. If you want to spend less than eggbeaters, go to nashbar.com and look at Crank Bros Smarty or Candy, they will probably be your cheapest. Good Luck!
