canti brakes?
i’m currently running diacompe road levers with vee brakes. they are meant to pull enough cable to work.. but they don’t. i was thinking of changing the vee brakes for short canti levers. would that work? would i get the crispness i want?
ooo, change the levers. but the problem is, i dont think there are any levers for drop bars which work with vee brakes! that’s how come i though maybe i should just swap them out..
I would never swap vee brakes for cantilever brakes! Stopping power of canti brakes is a fraction of a vee brake. However, if you have the wrong brake levers, you will not get good braking performance. There are some “travel adjustors” which compensate for the different pull lengths required by road brakes and vee brakes. If you get a travel adjustor you should be in good shape.
