Archery question if you know anything about arrows please help?
I want to buy new carbon fat shaft XLT’s but dont know what spine to get (5000, 6000,6500) i use alluminium arrows at the moment pretty basic but i do a lot of feild archery now and they dont quite cut it.

i dont know much about theese but ive been told that its to do with what bow you use so this is what i use
i shoot a 70″ bow (25″ riser) (winstar2 with winstorm carbon limbs) at a draw weight of 40 pounds i use 30″ arrows but would like to up the to 31″ possibly (32″ is to long)
so if any one could shine some light on the situation please do and try to provide more than just which one i should use as i need to know i can trust yatell me why i should get them lol :p
Your setting is pretty close to mine. That’s 40# draw measured at your draw length or is that the marked draw weight on the limbs? If it is measured at the draw length, then the closest match between the 3 is the 6000.
I shoot 70″ bow, 46# @ 31″ draw. My arrows are 30″ Nano XR 530′s with 110grain tips. They’re somewhat tuned. 8125 22 strand string with a tie on nocking point.
Quite odd that they don’t have a 5500, 5000 to 6000 is a pretty big jump. The 5000 would be way too stiff for that bow, and the 6000 a bit weak. Given the two options I don’t think you can end up with a 31″ arrow.
