What is the fastest ride in a cassette and sprocket in a bmx?
I have a 33t sprocket and a 13t cassette on my bmx right now. It’s alright, pretty smooth but i want something that will take less energy to travel fast for a longer period of time without having the keep pedaling. I have a 12t GT cassette that is not laced to a rim and was thinking of lacing it. Would it go good on my 33t sprocket? my cranks are 3 piece 165 size. does the weight of the bike matter what the top speed will be? my friend had a mosh it was pretty heavy; heavy materials, 3-piece cranks but with freewheel, chrome rims, fat sprocket with i dont know how many teeth with lots of psi so tires were rock solid and it rode very smooth and speed was constantly fast for quite a while. any help? thanks
oh, and my frame and forks are hi-tensile steel. and to make it short maybe something like to overtake mountain bike cyclists.
i think what you want is called an ‘engine’
12t would be a little ‘faster’ than 13t
why not just change the gear instead of the whole hub and wheel?
weight only matters going up or down hills
or accelerating
you won;t be overtaking mt bike cyclists unless they are old grannies or asleep
