Can you fix an Rrod’d xbox360 via x-clamp without using new thermal glue?
My xbox has the red ring of death and I have all the necessary parts to fix it via the x-clamp method but not the thermal glue (arctic 5 or something) can i still do it by reusing the glue already on it?
I wouldn’t recommend it. Whenever you take off a heat sink and reattach it, you need to replace the thermal paste so that proper contact is made between the heat sink and whatever it is that it’s trying to cool.
