Rocky Mountain Element 10 or Specialized FSR XC Comp?
I am looking to upgrade from my Rocky Mountain Soul. I would really like a bike with dual suspension. I use my bike for commuting to school and work, mostly, but I also love to ride trails in the mountains too.

This is a tough call but call it I will, take the Rocky Mountain even though the Spec I looked up has SLX components and I dont know which one youre looking at exactly (without a link) had the RM beat in components the RM is a better set up overall with the rear shock and Fork and that is enough to do it for me as shifters and derailleurs are easier and cheaper to replace over time. You really do not need a full suspension bike to commute with as the f/s setup says “steal me” out loud no matter which one you choose! Keep the one you have now to ride to school on and keep the other one you get for the mountains only! Either one that you picked will be a great deal and you are already familiar with the RM and I think you know how great that one is do you really need another opnion? Get the RM!
Edit: I was correct on the Spec. link I found but not the RM ….I still hold true to my first thought, stay with the RM, It has more potential and even though they are both very close and I do like the paint on the Spec. paint does not help with speed! So what if it has a SLX rear derailleur, they arent expensive and only one step up above the Deore anyway. Go RM! No matter which you choose there will be NO need to replace any thing on either of these until something breaks first anyway!
