What does it mean to burn or “mount” a game or computer prgram??
I hear that a lot, when someone downloads a program or game, it says “burn or mount”
Burn, I’m certain means just burn it to cd/dvd, but mount i have no idea
“Burn” means to burn the image you downloaded onto a blank CD or DVD.
“Mount” means to load the image you downloaded into a programme which makes a fake CD or DVD drive with that image. This fools the computer into thinking that its a CD or DVD in a drive when it is really just data on your hard disc.
Some favourite “mounting” programmes are “DAEMON Tools” and “Alcohol 120%”
