How to install clipless cycling pedals?
I’ve got my old pedals off, but need to screw in the new clipless pedals. The instructions say to lubricate the spindles. What can I use as lubrication?
Butter, oil (be specific as to type), something else? I just want to do it right. Thanks!
Rusty is on the right lines, you need a grease!, – not for lubrication but to prevent the spindle seizing in the crank!!
I use an anti-seize compound called ‘Copa-Slip’ and smear a little on the threads before assembly. (before anyone says it, – I know copa-slip is OTT and used for high temperature applications but I get it from work!!!!).
