what are the best brake lever/Gear Shifters for bullhorn handlebars?
i am wanting to put bullhorn handlebars on a bike i am building but i am unsure how to go about adding brake levers and gear shifters. i like the look of (and want to use) cane creek 200tt brake levers (or something very similar) but i REALLY want brake levers with integrated gear shifters. i absolutely do not want bar-end shifters with cyclocross style brakes or drop bar shifters, i essentially want STI shifters that can that be inserted into the end of bullhorn handlebars. also, i don’t want the hooded type of brakes that are generally seen on drop handlebars on road bikes. do brake levers with integrated shifters like this exist?
“do brake levers with integrated shifters like this exist?” Not the way you’re describing it. I’ve NEVER seen shifters on the handlebar extensions or “bull horns” themselves. The closest thing to it would be Shimano ST-EF60 shift/brake lever combo as on the link below mounted on the handlebar.
