How much difference can sprockets make on yfz 450?
I have a 2006 Yamaha YFZ 450 Special edition 50th anniversary edition. Right now i have a full FMF factory 4.1 exhaust with powerbomb header, a velocity intake system with k&n filter, a 180 main jet, a 48 pilot jet, a high rev procom cdi box and stock sprockets. The stock sprocket size is 14 front and 48 back. How much of a difference do you think a 12 front and 42 back will make? How fast do you think the top end will be with a 16 front and 36 back?
dude you do not change both sprockets.
you only change one or the other.
to make the bike have more top end go up
one or two teeth on the counter shaft sprocket
or go down one or two teeth on the rear sprocket. call your local yamaha dealer and
ask them what they recommend.
