which bike is better?
i have a 2004 schwinn super sport with an aluminum frame, bio tuned seat and grips, and specialized pro mondo II tires. it is a flatbar road bike. i also have a 2005 fuji connesiur which has a steel frame but curled handle bars and new tires. the schwinn is lighter and more comfortable, but is as aerodynamic as a cow on rollerskates. the fuji is more aerodynamic but its heavier. which is a better bike for racing? also (on a seperate note) would it be worth it to put the fuji on a diet by getting a Carbon Fork, seatpost and aero wheels?
keep the heavy bike as a training and hack get around bike. the lighter bike you might be able to alter a bit if you pull the handle bars off then the stem that the handlebars were attached to can be taken off flipped upside down and refitted attach handle bars if you haven’t got handle bar extensions get some and you will have a lower riding position try that for a month and see how you go can always reverse the process and sell the bike and get the real deal after you have reached your full potential ability on the new set up.
