The Ford Econoline is available in E-150, E-250, and E-350 capabilities. The base E-150 is only available in the standard length, while the E-250 and the E-350 Super Duty are available in both the regular and extended lengths. The base Econoline is minimal but can be adapted to fit any drivers needs and features a pair of swinging cargo doors that can be replaced with an optional minivan-type sliding unit if needed.
There are 4 different engine styles offered, the E-150 and E-250 come standard with a 4.6L Triton V8 225hp engine. The E-350 Super Duty comes standard with a 5.4L Triton V8 255hp engine, optional 6.8L V10 305hp motor or a 6.0L V8 235hp Power Stroke diesel motor as needed.
Technology features include audio systems ranging from basic to DVD rear entertainment, a Reverse Sensing System and rear view camera to secure your cargo and crew. You can also delete certain features such as air-conditioning or the radio if needed. Other features include: 15-passenger vinyl bucket seats, air conditioning, courtesy switches on all doors, Ford also offers innovative fleet and job-site technologies for the Econoline. Crew Chief is a fleet telematics and diagnostics option that allows small business owners to manage their vehicles, dispatch employees to job sites and keep detailed vehicle maintenance records. The Econoline also includes a GPS system that uses a 6.5-inch LCD with SIRIUS Travel Link for driving updates, weather reports and traveler’s information.
Standard safety features of the Econoline include, driver and front passenger air bags, tire pressure monitoring system, and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control. Available safety options include, Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, which allows for direct operation of the trailer’s electronic brakes, a dash-mounted front-passenger air bag on/off mechanism and a rear-view backup camera aid.
With the adaptability of a chameleon, the Econoline is offered in nearly any color and upgrades to match.
