carbon fiber frame? PLZ HELP!! 10 POINTS BEST ANSWER!!?

I found an ad on craigslist for a relatively inexpensive 1996 trek 5500 frame along with a carbon fiber look fork and 3t forgie stem and handlebars. now, I do a lot of city riding so it’ll be getting a few bumps and scratches along with the occasional fall (with or without me on it haha). currently I’m riding a 2008 trek 1.2 (aluminum frame) so I’m not so worried about it. how well do u think the 5500 frame will hold up compared to my current frame (I know that if carbon fber gets a crack it could break at any point). do u think it would make sense to change frames??

a couple other quick questions:
I currently ride a 56cm frameand the 5500 is a 54cm. is there anything I should have in mind if I switch frames?
I have red Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels. do u think the orange/copper frame would go well with my red wheels? haha

I’d also probably sell my frame etc. how much do u think I could get for it? it’s in really Good Condition

check on ebay
you can buy new carbon frames that are unbranded for cheap
they may be unbranded but most high end carbon frames are made there and just have brand names like trek put on them to make them worth more
