Were the Giants the worst team to ever be given a Lombardi trophy?
Actually, I think the ’70 Baltimore Colts were the worst with the 2008 Giants as the second worst, but I do think that Eli Manning is the worst quarterback ever to be on a Super Bowl team… what do you think?
I’m glad you call yourself Fresh Air, because this question is a breath of it! The Giants are the absolute worst team to ever win a Super Bowl. Change one play in any of their playoff luck-outs against Dallas, Green Bay, or New England and somebody else is the champion. As for Eli? He sucks, but the worst quarterback to win a Super Bowl might be Trent Dilfer (Ravens, 2000-01 season). Eli is second worst.
