Fashion Glasses for Summer 2011- Cat Eye Glasses
Fashion trends come and go, so do eyeglasses styles. But there are some glasses styles that never go out of date. Cat eye glasses are one of those fashion glasses that appeal to generations of fashionistas. For summer 2011, cat eye sunglasses will still definitely be top choices of wearers.
Cat eye glasses were mainly popular in the 1950s and 1960s among fashionable women. In the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Andrey Hepburn wore a pair of cat-eye glasses, which contributed to great fame in cat eye glasses. Along with aviator eyeglasses, cat eye glasses are universally popular when it comes to fashion glasses. Notable celebrities who wear cat-eye glasses include Marilyn Monroe, Buddy Holly and Lady Gaga.
Cat-eye glasses have enjoyed a great reputation among female celebrities, and have become their essential fashion accessories. The summer of 2010 has witnessed various female celebrities in Hollywood sporting the cat eye look.
Although cat eye glasses were dominant in the 50′s and early 60′s, such style is not démodé. Tom Ford Spring Summer collection 2011 is a great interpretation of cat eye glasses as a style of fashion glasses. Since fashion is not ready to let go of oversized sunglasses, Tom Ford gives a perfect combination of cat eye look and oversized shape. Thus, cat eye glasses still gain much popularity for their distinctive charm. Cat eye sunglasses, in fact, are a perfect combination of two styles into the frame. Wayfarer style is the basic template for a pair of cat eye sunglasses. The obvious difference is that cat eye sunglasses get rounded frame on the bottom half while the bottom part of wayfarer frame is angular.
