two tone bicycle paint job?
im rebuilding and repainting my old bike for my sisters bday present. i got new chrome wheels and brake levers. i painted the front fork and seat post gloss purple, and the frame, gloss pink. I want to spice it up a bit though. any good two tone ideas using pink and purple. I also have a jar of gold leaf paint. i plan to put her name in gold leaf on the top tube. oh, I also dont have much artistic talent, and the pink and purple are spray paint cans, so the easier, the better. lol. thanks!
ive only got a day to finish it. so buying new paint or something is not an option. ill look for that duplicolor stuff for my next bike though
Try this, go to the fabric store and get some lace.
Wrap the frame tube / tubes with the lace then
spray with the pink or purple over the lace.
I did that years back for a friend. I painted the frame purple,
then wrapped it with the lace then over-sprayed with gold.
It was so cool, that the bike was stolen a week later.
