grip or thumb shifters? ur preference n why?
hi i jus got a hardtail n it has gripshift gears, my uva bike is a hybrid wid thumb shift gears which i like n get on with quite well. the hardtail needs loads of maintenance so have yet to ride it, so duno wot grips r like to use – so was jus wonderin wot u think of the 2 diff gear systems n which u prefer n why? is it easy to replace grip wid thumbs?? which is best for offroadin??

the gears just have micro shifter written on them – the bike is 2nd hand so dont no details/history.
has 21 gears
Personally I prefer thumb shifters especially off road as you dont get so many false shifts. You dont say what type of gripshift you have Shimano or Sram, changeing is easy, how many speeds has the gripshift got, just make sure you get the same manufacture and the right amount of speeds,
