All You Need To Know About Chris King Headset
Chris King Precision Components manufacture each headset in our own facility to exacting standards, using quality-at-the-source methods to minimize waste. Even the sealed, cartridge style bearings are made in-house and are hand-checked.
Chris King has designed the first sealed bearing headset in 1976. Thirty-four years later, the King headset remains a benchmark for quality. No other bicycle component can claim the precision, performance and absolute reliability of a Chris King headset.

Chris King believes this component so well made that they will give a 10-year warranty on all the headsets models.
One think to watch is is correct installation. The lack of lock washer makes proper head tube facing very important and you also should use the correct Chris King headset press inserts, otherwise you might get creaks and even occasional loosening, most likely if you’ve got long travel single crown forks
The price is quite steep ( RRP of standard 1 1/8″ option in UK is £110), but with Chris King headset the saying ‘you pay for what you get’ is true more then ever.

The standard headsets are available in 4 main different models, 4 sizes* and 10 colors (but if you wish you can combine as many colors and options you like).
