Why do people believe plate tectonics explain mountain chains and frozen mammoths?

Any one with an ounce of brain power can see that this evolutionary micro movement has no hope of EVER explaining how the mammoths were frozen alive. AND why the two major mountain chains are in the shape of great circles.
I guess it would be admitting that the Bible is NOT relating violent upheaving catatastrphe’s. Is the connection with religion still so scary that people will adhere to evolution to defend themselves from the church?

mammoths aren’t frozen alive. they died, then it was so cold, they froze. TBH here, i was baptized for the first time when i was like 8 years old. i didn’t really believe in God. I was just so fascinated by the bible. It was so fun to read. I was a nerd, and i loved reading. :3 the story of Adam and Eve was a really good beginning of the bible. It actually took me a month to read 23 pages of it @___@ i would read for hours a day, but the bible is too long. Well i forgot about that later on. then when i turned 11, i was baptized again, and i believed in God more than ever. I prayed every night while in bed, thanking him for every single thing he did for me. Thanking him that i have a home, and a family. but then i realized that he wasn’t so real after all. Sometimes i feel his presence, but most of the time, it seems like the world is blank. My whole family isn’t religious. I’m the only one who is being baptized and all, because i have a lot of time so i research like crazy. I research whatever i’m curious of. And i like to get live response from other people too, like here on Y!A.

But really, my sister believes that christians are christians and are trying too hard to convince people to believe in God. That’s why the atheists get so annoyed. Christians are always shoving religious stuff down people’s throats. They even come by our neighborhood, knocking at every door, talking about religion and God. BTW the two mountain chains aren’t even in circles. They’re like misshaped ovals.
