What’s the best french horn for me?
I’m sorry, but I’m sick of people without one clue trying to answer my questions. If you don’t know, I couldn’t care less what you have to say.
I am going into my fourth year playing a single french horn. I’m looking to upgrade on sound and quality.
I want a double french horn with a detachable bell.
I’m looking for somewhat inexpensive, but great, full sound and maybe something other than the ordinary brass color?

Conn 8D is one of the best. It is a great horn that is made to play high or low. You can get one with a detachable bell which are great since you don’t have to carry around a clunky case anymore. Conn 8Ds can come in many different colors. There is gold, silver, and rose( sort od cooper looking). Mine is a silver and where the bell connects to the horn, is rose. Conn 8Ds are great horns if you want ot to last for a long time. They can get expensive. Mine was about 3,500 with discounts. I have been very pleased with mine and highly recommend it.
