It is a pretty simple strategy that involves posting unique and quality content articles of the same kind on different web 2.0 sites like Blogger, WordPress, Digg etc and linking them with one another to form a “link wheel” and then linking this wheel to your main site. Target a single keyword. The main site or the “focus hub” becomes the center of the wheel and this could be a particular page you want to promote on the internet, thus becoming your money making site. Once the wheel is formed, powerful backlinks to the money site can be created.
It is important to have 50 or more web 2.0 sites in your link wheel. The keyword target should be powerful enough to get at least a couple of backlinks from each of the web 2.0 sites in order to bring success to your link wheel. Google and other major search engines prefer this type of linking as it looks natural. It is important to note that a website that has unique and fresh high quality content will automatically receive a large amount of links.
Content has to be interesting enough for the reader to want to pursue the topic and click on the backlink to your main site. It is necessary to submit the RSS feed of your web 2.0 sites to the RSS directories once the articles have been published. It is also advisable to add social bookmarks to increase traffic to your website and improve the backlinks.
Your article is the main tool in your link wheel and therefore it is obvious that you need to make sure that the article has interesting content that will captivate the reader. Provide the URL at the end of every article, linking to the next web 2.0 site so that readers will be prompted to visit that site. The more articles you post, the more backlinks you will generate.
