Older anime movie from 90′s perhaps?
I remember watching it about 10-15 years ago. I don’t remember much.
I do remember there was an old man perhaps in a wheelchair or hospital bed.. from what i recall he was practically in a coma.
I think maybe a building explodes or crumbles onto the man but somehow he fuses together a bunch of rubble and junk to make a giant robot/mech suit of some sort to fight something…..
LOL… completely vague i know but like i say, it was many years ago.
You may be referring to Akira.
There is a scene in the hospital with Tetsuo and some of the other children who look like they are old. One is in a wheel chair (hover chair).
