Which size should I go for?
Hey I’m looking to buy a Motobecane Vent Noir, and I cant really decide on a size. I’m right in the middle of the sizing chart thing they have. I’m 69″ tall(5’9″) and my inseam is 31.5″. I went to the LBS a week ago and they fitted me on a 56cm Trek 1.1, and it felt pretty good. And according to Trek’s site the top tube is 55.7. And Moto’s 54 is 54.5 and the 56 is 56.5. But I’ve heard the Vent Noir has kind of a stretched out feeling so should I go for the 54?.
Oh this is my first road bike, so I guess I would like a more relaxed position.

Assuming all of the measurements that were made at the local bike shop were correct, and you know that the standover height on the motobecane is correct for you, I would go with the smaller one, since you said you wanted a more relaxed position. If, down the road, you want a more stretched out position, you can always fit a longer stem.
