strip paint on gt avalanche mtb?
i have a blue aluminium framed gt avalanche 2.0
is it possible to strip the paint off this bike?
will it be chrome/aluminium underneath?
Several chemical substances can do the job, the best for you to do would be to take your frame down to your local hardware store (or a DIY store) and have a chat. An other option would be to glass-blast the frame, this can be done in many auto garages, sometimes they’ll do it for, say a bunch of beers and no reciete… DON’T, I say DON’T sand-blast it!! you’ll kill the frame, glass-blasting is much more gentle, and won’t destroy your frame. Having it glass-blasted is fast and easy, and it will leave the frame ready for a new paintjob. After glass-blasting it, the frame will appear in raw alu – which btw also corrodes (just not red rust), so you’ll need to have it repainted.
