mtb Disc brakes are not working properly?
i was cleaning the pads and rotors (after a muddy ride) with a rag which may had oil on it. How to i get my disc brakes in full braking power?
Clean pads by removing them and rubbing on fine grit sandpaper to eliminate any containments. Be sure to apply even pressure to wear the pads evenly to improve braking performance. You need only to remove a small layer from the pad, be cautious not to wear it out completely.
You can clean the rotor with a degreaser by Finish Line or a variety of other cycling-specific products.
