Three-piece puts the wear back into swimwear
Swimwear in all its forms has thrilled movie viewers for decades. From the white bikini of breathtaking Bond girl, Ursula Andress in ‘Dr No’ to the gorgeous full-piece worn by Bo Derek in ’10′. And who could forget Baywatch’s Pamela Anderson turning up the heat in her fire-engine red fullpiece?
But for those of us who score less than a perfect ten in our swimwear and wouldn’t dream of facing even an instamatic camera on a family holiday, an innovative three-piece design from a Perth swimwear company is just the answer.
Julie Wiggins was like many of us – frustrated because she couldn’t find swimwear to suit her shape.She couldn’t bear the thought of figure-hugging lycra, but she wanted swimwear that gave her support and that had some style too. Her answer ?She designed something new – a three-piece swimsuit – made it up at home and found that she was complimented on it every time she wore it.She took a few orders, got busier and busier, and eventually gave up her teaching career and started her swimwear business seriously.Viva Swimwear has grown into an iconic Australian brand with the three-piece swimsuit its signature item.
Comprising a swim bra, swim pants and a loose-fitting tank top that flatters curves, not accentuates them, the 3-piece is Viva Swimwear’s biggest seller.
