How effective is Ginseng, in applying to cycling performance?
I’ve been using the following Chinese herbs.
1.Panax Ginseng Root Extract (Panax Ginseng) 400.00 mg
2.American Ginseng Root Extract ( Panax quinquefolium) 200.00 mg
3.Siberian Root Extract (Eleutherococcus senticosus) 100.00 mg
PS: My average speed has improved to 34 km/h. Plus, yesterday, I managed to catch the vortex of Yin’s Camry and kept up with her for about 6 kilometres. Needless to say, she wasn’t driving very fast, only around 45 to 50 km/h.
Ginseng is good, but only if its something you need. It contains a lot of yang chi and counters dampness. Too much ginseng can set off your chi balance and have too much yang, symptoms include high blood pressure, heartrate, and nosebleed.
I suspect you perhaps have too much yin and dampness in your chi. Since you’ve gotten a good result from the elevated yang chi from the ginseng, I would assume you were off balanced in your chi. I can’t make a proper diagnosis yet, so if you can email me a picture of your tongue, then perhaps I can confirm the diagnosis, and recommend a different herbal formula.
