whats the difference in heat out put on heat guns?
i have a project i need to do i am wondering what temperatures embossing heat guns and diy heat guns(paint stripper type) and hand held hair dryers give out?
can anyone tell me the temperatures the produce?
or of a way to put transfers on to awkward objects as with transfers to fabric can do with a hot iron but on plates,cups etc cant
First, how hot any heat guns will be depends on how close they are to the surface being heated and whether they’re held steady there or waved around, etc.
Heat guns do have maximum temps though, with the ones like you’d buy in a hardware store being around up to 1100 F or so and the “embossing” and other “craft” heat guns being a lot lower (600 F?). Hair dryers won’t get nearly that hot, and also blow a lot of air as well as projecting heat.
You can test the temp by holding a thermometer (that can register temps as high as you want) in front of the gun, then keep moving the gun forward or backward (or swish around or don’t) till it’s the temp you want.

As for applying heat transfers, there are various kinds with different requirements some of which don’t actually require a lot of heat or may be “decals”, etc. and don’t know much about those. But perhaps some of these links will help:
