Do Drivers Think Bicycles Are For Kids
Many people get reminded of the days when they were younger and riding a bike which I suppose is where they get the idea that bikes are for kids. Is this something that is true or are the people saying it being a bit childish themselves?
I can see their point in certain ways, some of the cycling clothing does look a bit out there and those cycling shoes look simply ridiculous on some of the people that wear them.
Although I see their points I do think they are very wrong. Why is someone riding to work, getting exercise and enjoying the morning air acting like they are still a small child? I think that it is safe to say that the people that think like this are either overweight, unable to ride a bike or just plain arrogant. Personal opinion on this is that the people that think like this are the people that drive into work everyday whilst smoking and eating their NuggetMcZingerKingburger for the morning. Sounds great!
Other Reasons People Associate Bikes With Children
The fact is that most people have not been on a bike since they were a very young child and it is one of the very first things they remember doing too. learning to ride of bike is one of the first things your parents will teach you, many people will not remember the older days of learning to walk and talk. Many adults do not remember these times so their memory takes them straight to the training wheels on the bike.
On the other hand it is more than possible you had a bit of a fall when you were younger and have never really liked bikes since.
The real truth is that bikes are certainly not for kids and by riding one you are helping the environment and there are going to be more and more of them on the road soon.
Get on those racing bikes and get riding!
