What would you do? New neighbor lets their dogs cross the road to potty in my front yard!?
We live in a subdivision in the country. My neighbor just moved in across the road. They do not have a fenced yard as of yet. However, we did not bring our dogs out until we had a fence built around our back yard so that our dogs could not roam. How do i handle this situation? I like my neighbor but don’t like cleaning up after their dogs! Help!
I had the same problem with my neighbors dogs. They let their dogs out to roam the neighborhood, go over to other farms and bother their dogs and livestock, and generally be a pest. People seem to think that just because you are in the country that dogs should be allowed to roam free. The little girl has now taken to chasing cars and barking all night. Its very annoying and I called animal control on them several times, just because of the car chasing thing. She already almost caused an accident once. I tried talking to them but the man had Alzheimers and rarely remembered he even had dogs. I tried catching her myself and never could.
If you like your neighbors, try talking to them. Just explain that you do not want to clean after their dogs and to please keep them contained in their own yard. Just because it is country does not mean its ‘free for all’ for dogs to roam.
