Swapping disc brakes rotors on my mtb?
The brakes i’m using are Tektro Auriga comp and I’m wanting to swap my 180mm tektro discs for 203mm Hope saw discs. I’m wondering if by doing this would it create any problems or would it work fine? I’ve already got the 203mm adapter..
Make sure the Saw rotor is the same width as the old rotor. And check what the rotor limit is for your fork or you might not be able to fit the rotor around the fork.
My favorite rotor is always the one that was designed for the caliper. I would be safe and track down the rotor that was designed for the brake but you should do fine if the hope has the same dimensions.
Good luck. Rotor jobs are about as easy as it gets.
