Do you have to ride in a black Dressage saddle for lower level Dressage?
I am looking at Dressage saddles and saw this odd Pink saddle! I thought it was really cool but I want to know If I could use a partly pink saddle in the dressage ring…(lower level)

That’s an all-purpose saddle, not one specifically for dressage. This is a dressage saddle- note the long straight flap, how much less “stuff” there is between your leg and the horse, the low girth billets and how deep the seat is: http://www.saddlebrooktack.com/shop/images/XT_dressage_saddle.jpg It’s made that way so you can be subtle with your cues and still communicate very clearly with your horse.
Yes, they would frown upon a pink saddle, even at low levels. You should try to get a black saddle, a plain white saddle pad and a matching black, simple bridle. Something like this: http://www.equestrienne.com.au/images/HDR5040.jpg A lot of “dressage” bridles come with flashes/ drop nose bands, or at least a place to put one, but if you don’t need one, don’t get a bridle that has one. You don’t want any more stuff on your horse than what you absolutely need.
You should also look for a black jacket, a white shirt and stock tie with pin, white breeches and leather tall boots. You will want gloves. I would get black ones, but if your hands are one of your strong points- very quiet, steady and subtle, you can highlight that strength with white gloves. If you don’t have a velvet helmet, you should find a black helmet cover. You can find it all second hand in nearly new condition at your local consignment tack shop. The dressage ring is very particular on details. In fact, it’s known for the details and how conservative it is. You don’t want to do anything daring in terms of color or style out there.
