Are epiphone les pauls and sgs any good?
my friend insists that they suck but im not sure. he says to go witha gibson if im gonna get one of them but i dont have that kind of money and havent been playing that long
Epiphone Les Pauls and SGs are fairly good guitars. As the price goes up, so does the quality. A G-310 would be the lowest I’d go in a SG, and I actually have my eye on a G-400, white with black pickguard. Nice. As for Les Pauls, I’ve never been a real fan – little too bottom heavy for me, but Epiphones are playable. Epiphones are Asian made, but are once again under Gibson quality control, so the Epiphones of 2008 are very acceptable guitars.
I know the difference, as I owned two SGs back in 1968, when they were only $350. A New 2008 Gibson SG is out of the range of most people living on the planet.
