are there any good inverted forks to use for XC?
i really like the maverick DUC32, but its 6″ of travel and doesnt have a lockout. i have a Rock Shox Reba team with all the bells and whistles, and im looking for something comparable to that but in an inverted design. i dont care about price. im not buying, i just want to know whats out there.
i see that the duc32 has a climbing mode which drops the travel to 4″. this would work for me since i almost never use the lockout during a race.
Have you checked out Mavericks SC32? This is a single crown inverted fork similar to Marzocchi’s Shiver SC, but the Maverick SC32 is made for XC. The Maverick SC has 4.75 inches of travel and it uses a really Light Weight 24 mm hub, so it is torsionally stiff. I use to have the Shiver SC, but it was very heavy and made for light freeriding.
