Sony BRAVIA KDL-52W4100
I purchased this LCD TV in the late 2008 and I think it’s a really hot buy.
Some people said that the tv set has problems while the dark shades are changing. I’ve checked for this in the store with great details and have used it for a month and I have’t noticed that at all. This is a extremely sharp TV with brilliant colors and strong black tones. This tv Set is much better than the previous TV W model.
Here is why you should purchase this LCD TV. It has a extremely perfect image in digital broadcast and does a excellent job in SD transmission a lot better than any other tv sets I have seen. For that it’s respossible a nice technology from Sony named DSP which is essentially noise reduction technology. Sony of course knows Blu-ray because afterall they manufactured it, they are familiar whit skin tones should appear I mean they hold a movie studio, the menus are truly easy to use, it has a built in TV guide and it has capability for future expansion.
Picture quality is pretty close to Samsung in HD. I looked at both televisions side by side. Samsung is a bit better on clarity in SD. Samsung has more glare, Sony is a matte screen but darks on Samsung are solid because it has a glossy screen. While testing with a Blu-ray disc,Sony is showing a more detailed image. No fade from white to black problems on Sony as some reviews has noticed. Colors are pleasant and rich as Sony Bravia two engine is great, maybe even better than XBR engine.I’ve found that the Z series may be better but there isn’t 52” models
Tv menus on Samsungs are created for experts with a lots of tweeks, but actually it’s clouded for average user. If you doubt that, get the user manual for the Samsung LN52A650 and for Sony KDL524100 and check for yourself. If you are technical individual, go for the Samsung. If you don’t like to get lost in menus, but get an topnotch picture, go with the Sony. Ths Sony TV is very easy to use, but also it automatically finds digital channels and is like having a built in cable box.
The Sony television may not have the Ethernet connector and built in weather like the series 6 from Samsung, but it does have the built in TV guide and option for upgrades. But, if you want internet connection in your TV, you are better off connecting an external device. The TV guide feature in this tv is outstanding and the Sony Bravia Sync is great especially if you use a Sony DVD converter for 1080p. Picture in Picture technology is super also because you are able to view picture from HDMI while viewing cable TV.
For me preferred thing on Sony KDL52W4100 is the power button on the top side as this is keeping children from turning off TV. Also a good thing is the remote on the Sony as it is quite simple to use.
So, if you want the a super clean image, easy to use LCD TV with that makes regular TV watching enjoyable and easy.This Sony KDL52W4100 is outstanding choice.
