Help me find new wheels ?
I am currently riding a size 54 Pinarello Paris w. Neuvation R 28 Aero wheels. Can anyone recommend some new wheels that would be compatible with Sram Red ?
price range $700 and lower.
Wacky is dead on with his advice. I have a pair of Ascents on one of my road bikes and have been very happy with them, after more than 10,000 miles. They will work fine with the SRAM red group. You don’t say how much you weigh, but I’d stay away from the Ascents if you weigh 180 or more. I was riding beside a heavy friend a couple of years ago when he blew out his rear Ascent II.
The other wheel to check out in your price range is the American Classic Sprint 350 or, if you are heavier, the 420 (or Hurricane for the Clydesdale category rider). They are my all-around favorite wheels, and are on my daily rider. Almost as light as the Eastons, and bullet proof conventional spoke design. Link below.
