Which is better, drops or bullhorns, also, threadless stem or threaded?
I have never ridden bullhorns, but have ridden drops for as long as i can remember. I might wanna change it up. Also, should i go with a thread-less stem or threaded? I like the look of threaded, but hate how they only loosen, and you can’t take the faceplate completely off like you can on thread-less. It kills me how if i wanna change bars, i have to take my tape all the way off. And if i wanted to ride without tape/grips, what gloves should i get that will grip and be comfortable?
Not a matter of which is better. That depends entirely on what sort of riding you plan on. Drops for speed, bullhorns for more leisurely upright riding. 4 hand positions with the drops, 3 with bullhorns.
I recently switched from drops with brifters to bullhorns with bar end friction shifters. No real good reason for the change other than wanting something new and different. Turned out I love the friction shifters for the control they give me over derailleur placement, and their reliability. Solved some shifting problems I was having with the STIs.
Nothing to say about your other questions, other than threaded does look nicer.
