Will I notice a lot of performance in my bicycles performance by switching tires?
I have a diamondback Maravista (hybrid) it came with Kendas 700×40—-I am going with a 700×28 Forte G2 Kevlar….
The lighter weight of smaller tires and the snappy cornering of smaller, high pressure tires will certainly be noticeable to you. However, unless you have a high-quality lightweight hybrid bike, I’d recommend that you stick with a larger tire. Also, if you want to go with the 28c, you may need to use a smaller rim as well. Using a narrow tire on a rim that’s designed for wider ones will greatly increase your chances of pinch flats and the tire won’t ride or corner nearly as well as it would on a properly-sized rim.
If you can find a 32c tire that you like, I’d go with it instead.
