The Xylo (pronounced as Zy-lo) is powered by a m-Eagle engine which is designed at NEF CRDe platform like mHawk in Scorpio. The Xylo is designed and developed with great care. It’s soft and suave details get blended with its masculine lines and curves which give it a unique look. This vehicle is designed to fill the gap between styling of SUV and the convenience of a MPV.
This Mahindra vehicle is available in several variants; E4, E6, E8, E8 ABS and D2 (BS III). Except D2, all the other variants are equipped with a 2.5-litre engine. It is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel m-Eagle CRDe engine. It generates the maximum power of 112 BHP at 3800 RPM. It delivers the maximum torque of 260 Nm at 1800 to 3000 RPM. The D2 is powered by the 2.5L mDI CRDe engine. It generates the maximum power of 95 BHP at 3600 RPM and a torque of 220 Nm at 1400-2600 rpm. The m-Eagle engine of this vehicle is a unique kind of engine ensuring the enhanced fuel efficiency and great power output.
For an easy and comfortable ride, the Xylo is provided with 5-speed manual transmission, power assisted rack and pinion steering. This vehicle can pick up a speed of 60 Km/h in just 6.6 seconds. Moreover, the Xylo comes with an efficient suspension system that is made from anti-roll bar and multilink coil spring suspension.
The exterior look of the Xylo is very stylish with bold, aggressive lines and sleek, soft curves. There is bold grille in the front with brow styled headlights. Moreover, the beauty of this car is enhanced by the wrap-around taillights, body-colored integrated bumper and twin-colored outside rear view.
Inside, it has seating space for seven to eight passengers. Its admirable features include height adjustable driver’s seat, folding rear seats, power adjustable steering and flat bed front. It also has MP3 CD player, mobile charging points, cool Dual Air conditioners, courtesy lamps, foldable flight trays and more.
The Mahindra Xylo has a range of safety features such as special crumple zone, engine immobilizer, tubeless tyres, intelligent reverse and tough steel body.
