Water Sports In Goa
The water sports in Goa attracts travelers from all over the world. Goa is one of the most popular destinations of India is known for its amazing water sports. Adventure lovers from all around the world come to this state to experience the thrilling excitement of these sports. The beautiful crystal clear water of the Arabian sea attracts tourists from all over the globe for some spine chilling adventure.
Some popular water sports of Goa are as follows:
Windsurfing: The most famous of all the sports windsurfing requires much strength. Basically its a mix of surfing and sailing and wind plays an important in this. Dona Paula Beach is the most preferred destination for it as the strong winds gives perfect challenge to surfers. Even first timers can also try their hands in windsurfing. Sports enthusiasts every year come here to participate in competitions like Windsurfing Regatta and Open Board Sailing Competition.
Dinghy Sailing: This sport is mainly for those who are less adventurous and daring. There is not much difference between wind surfing and dinghy sailing. It just requires less strength. Dinghy boats are generally 15 feet in length and only 3 people can travel on it. The months of October- April is the best time to participate in this sport.
Scuba Diving: The best way to feel the beauty of nature and to see the turquoise blue water of the Arabian Sea. The experience of watching the marine world so closely is simply magical and can not be expressed in words. One can rent scuba gears from Dona Paula jetty and Aqua Marine in Panjim. They also provide instructors for the first timers.
Water Skiing: This sport is for those who love speed. The water swooshing speed boats are the favorites for skiers. The thrilling experience of these speed boats makes the for holiday makers. It is also a good option for the sightseeing tour of the beaches.
